Mager wins H & L Day
It was a fine day for this year's H & L Garages Golf Day held for the first time at the magnificent Woodhall Spa Golf Club, home to the English Golf Union.
Reigning champion John Mager of McCann again had a great round scoring 37 points around the difficult Bracken course, beating his fellow competitors by four points.
Second place went to Richard Judge from Judge Transport and in third was Steve White from Rainham Steel.
The Longest Drive of the day came from John Burns Salmond of BSB transport with Peter McMunn of Cravens Transport winning the Nearest Pin competition.
Alongside the individual competition was a team competition with the best 2 scores from 4 counting. John's magnificent individual score also helped his team to top prize, winning with 76 points. John's was joined in his team by Peter Bowles, Peter McMunn and Andrew Scotney. Second place sent to the team of John Burgin, Stuart McLeods, Steve White and Geoff Wray.
