Glover takes Imperial Commercials Title
 On an overcast, but dry day, Peter Glover from Glover Transport won the Imperial Commercials Golf Day 2007, held at Gainsborough Golf Club in Lincolnshire.
Peter, who had a fine round scoring 41 points, beat just beat Martin Winter of Martin Winters Ltd by two points. In third place was John Dibb from Dawsons Rentals with 36 points.
John was also successful in the Longest Drive competition with Neil Johnson of G & C Johnson taking the Nearest Pin prize.
Alongside the Individual competition, the players were competiting in a team competition with the best 2 score from 4 counting. With two teams going out in a three ball, it was decided to draw a player's card from the hat to give them a team card of four players. And it made a difference to their scores!
It was a tie for first and second place with two teams on 81 points. In second place came the team of John Dibb, Sean Hickson and Dave Richards who scored 40 points on the back nine but the winners were George Aitkenhead, John Coates and Tony Harrison with 42 points on the back nine.
After the golf, players relaxed in the bar reliving those magic moments on the course before having dinner. Following dinner, the Regional Director for Imperial Commercials thanked all their clients for taking part and for their custom over the year as well as Gainsborough Golf Club for the day and Team Frith for the organisation.
