Trentham win a close Regional Final

TrenthamIt was a tie at the top of the leaderboard in the fifth NSPCC Ladies Golf Classic Regional Final with the pairs from Trentham and Pleasington both scoring 39 points on a tough course that only weeks earlier had hosted the Open qualifying.

In the end it was Sally Sketcher and Julie Wright from Trentham who were victorious thanks to a better back nine. In third place were last year's Grand Finalists, Jane Atkins and Carol Ryder from Tytherington.

Thanks go to all the ladies who took part and entered into the spirit of the competition, which was played on a beautiful summer's day with not a cloud in the sky and also to Pleasington Golf Club for their warm welcome and for hosting the event so well.

The ladies also helped to raise more money for the NSPCC in the raffle where one lucky lady took home Chloe purse and another won a complimentary four ball at Pleasington with thanks to the club.
