Royal Portcawl win in Machynys
The early clubhouse leaders from Royal Porthcawl emerged as victors at the penultimate NSPCC Ladies' Golf Classic 2007 Regional Final.
Posting a fantastic 41 points, Jane David and Lynda Jones were the first group back in the clubhouse and it was going to be tough for the rest of the field to beat their score.
Despite some great scores following them in, they remained at the top of the leaderboard, just edging out the ladies from Newport Links, Andrea Evans and Marilyn Hughes, who scored 39 points. In third place were last year's regional finalists from Pennard, Angela Pritchard and Sarah Taylor.
Thanks go to all the ladies who took part and entered into the spirit of the competition on a perfect golfing day at Machynys and also to Machynys for their warm welcome and for hosting the event so well.
