Safe Hands dates announced for 2008
Legendary goal keeper David Seaman MBE is teaming up with Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Resort in the western Algarve, for the David Seaman Safe Hands Charity Golf Classic 2008.
This year's event will be held in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK and is sponsored by Zurich International Solutions and HSBC Investments.
Cancer Research UK established The Bobby Moore Fund in memory of the great football legend, to raise money for research into bowen cancer.
The Fund was set up following Bobby's untimely death from the disease in 1993 and since then the charity has gone from strength to strength now raising over £1 million each year for bowel cancer research through a variety of fundraising events.
This is another great opportunity to take part in a prestigious golf tournament on one of Portugal's finest courses whilst raising funds for charity. Golf enthusiasts will be able to socialise and play alongside David and personalities from the world of sport and entertainment.
The four day programme and two day golf competition will take place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th July 2008 following the UEFA European Football Championships.
The aim is to field 22 teams of three players and each team will be joined by one celebrity.
