Three way tie at Blakes

Rochford HundredThe second Regional Final of the NSPCC Ladies' Golf Classic, which took place at Blakes Golf Club in Essex, saw a three way tie at the top of the leaderboard.

The ladies from Felixstowe Ferry, Lakeside Lodge and Rochford Hundred all finished with 35 points so it went to the back nine.  The winners were Rosemary Gemmell and Sue Proctor from Rochford Hundred who scored a magnificent 19 on the back nine.  Second place went to Heather Baker and Helen Coxen from Lakeside Lodge with Anne Day and Wendy White from Felixstowe Ferry coming in third.

On behalf of the NSPCC, our thanks go to all the ladies who took part and entered into the spirit of the event.  Clubs had already raised a substantial amount of money for the charity through holding their club qualifying competitions but ladies on the day helped to raise even more by generously taking part in the raffle and Algarve Golf Trophy Nearest Pin competition.
