Mill Ride win at East Sussex National
On a dull but dry day, some fantastic scores were recorded at the NSPCC Ladies' Golf Classic Regional Final held at the East Sussex National East Course.
Winning by just one point with 42 points were Angela Cook and Carolyn Dann from Mill Ride Golf Club.
Behind them were three teams, all on 41 points and so placing were calculated by the back nine. With a fabulous 22 points on the way home, Ham Manor's pair of Clare Bolger and Alice Gimson just edged out Jeannie Billington and Maureen Sykes from the Royal Automobile Club.
On behalf of the NSPCC, our thanks go to all the ladies who took part and entered into the spirit of the event. Clubs had already raised a substantial amount of money for the charity through holding their club qualifying competitions but ladies on the day helped to raise even more by generously taking part in the raffle and Algarve Golf Trophy Nearest Pin competition.
