Over £30k raised at Brocket Hall
The 6th Captain’s Charity Pro-Am took place at Brocket Hall with 30 teams competing in one of the PGA Eastern Region’s most prestigious events. A combination of sponsorship, team entries and players generosity on the day helped to raise in excess of £30,000 for the two benefitting charities, The Willow Foundation and Isabel Hospice.
30 of the leading professionals in the region’s Order of Merit joined teams on the day for the Pro-Am format. The professionals were competing for a prize fund of £6000 on the day, with Roger Gray from Thorndon Park and Jason Levermore from Clacton tying at the top of the leaderboard.
In the team competition, Brocket Hall’s Lady Captain, Jan Leggetter led her team to victory with professional Danny Field from East Herts, who also finished in the top three of the Professionals competition.
