Hentons team win Algarve Golf Trophy
The Algarve Golf Trophy took place at Moor Allerton Golf Club on 15th October and although conditions were wet under foot from the rain of the previous day, blue skies greeted the players for the shotgun start.
Topping the leaderboard by six points were the team from Hentons of Nadeem Ahmed, Martin Schneider, Richard Warwick and Neil Lockwood. It was a tie for second place with two teams on 79 points. Taking it on count back was the team of Raz Shafi, Jeff Barnett, Phil Adock and John James.
The longest drive competition, held on the 9th, was won by plus 2 handicapper Johnny Lawrence and the nearest pin winner on the 17th was Rob Batham.
