Mother and daughter win at Stapleford
The first regional final of the 2009 NSPCC Ladies’ Golf Classic took
place at the stunning Stapleford Park on an overcast day but it did not
dampen the spirits of those taking part.
The winners on the day were mother
and daughter combination, Suzanne Edwards and Imogen Huxley from
Rutland County. They won with 41 points, a massive 7 points ahead of
second place.
It was much tighter lower down on the leaderboard with
just 2 points separating the next 16 pairs! It was the ladies
representing Fulford Heath, Maggie Gower and Jenny Hart, that sneaked
the runners up spot.
