Naunton Downs win at Wrag Barn
The sun came out just in time for the start of the 2009 NSPCC Ladies’ Golf Classic regional final which took place at the splendid Wrag Barn.
Lisa Mosson and Lindsey Wallace, representing Naunton Downs fought of stiff opposition from the rest of the field to win with a fabulous 46 points.
Just missing out in second place with 42 points were Dorothy and Julie Ace, who had travelled from Pennard Golf Club in Wales to take part.
On behalf of the NSPCC, our thanks go to all the ladies who took part and entered into the spirit of the event. Clubs had already raised a substantial amount of money for the charity through holding their club qualifying competitions but ladies on the day helped to raise even more by generously taking part in the raffle and Algarve Golf Trophy Nearest the Pin competition.
