Tiverton ladies qualify for Grand Final

The last regional final of the 2009 NSPCC Ladies’ Golf Classic took
place at Tiverton Golf Club on an overcast and showery day but it did
not dampen the spirits of those taking part!
The winners on the day were the
home pair from Tiverton of Patricia Bending and Rosemary Venner.
They
led the field out in the morning and stayed at the top of the
leaderboard with 34 points.
In a very close second place were
the representatives from Killiow, Melanie Byrne and Sue Dickinson, who
just missed out on the top prize with 33 points.
