McLean and Fraser to represent Scotland


David McLean and Kenny Fraser were the winners of the Scottish leg of the Algarve Golf Trophy, held at Glasgow’s Ranfurly Castle Golf Club.

They scored 42 points, the same as the second place pair of John Ferguson and Jamie Moglia, but topped the leaderboard by virtue of a better back nine.

The betterball competition as part of the series of Algarve Golf Trophy events taking place throughout UK and Ireland this summer.

Players arriving for the day were welcomed with a gift from the Algarve Promotion Bureau, sponsors of the day, before heading out onto the course.
